The world of the Horse

Horse ride

The world of the horse is closely linked to El Rocío and its customs, not in vain, its sandy streets are the perfect medium for its circulation and, thanks to this, we can enjoy a multitude of horseback rides through the village and the surroundings of the Doñana National Park, enjoying with the five senses the landscapes and spectacular sunsets.

Virgin of the Rocío

But if EL ROCIO is world famous, it is because of the venerated "Marian" image that resides there and gives it its name: La Virgen del Rocío. The beautiful Basilica located in front of the mother marsh, a few meters from our Hotel La Malvasía. It is a must for pilgrims and devotees, not only during the massive pilgrimage, but throughout the year. In it, the Treasury Museum is also located where we can admire the extensive and invaluable trousseau of the Virgin.

Excursions around DOÑANA

Another way to discover the DOÑANA Natural Park is through impressive 4x4 excursions, a unique experience to get to know first-hand the unique native flora and fauna of its different habitats, this being the largest ecological reserve in all of Europe. With departure and arrival from our Hotel La Malvasía.

Virgin Beaches

We cannot forget that we are only 10 minutes from Matalascañas, with its white sands and iconic Torrelahiguera, it is one of the busiest and liveliest beaches on the Huelva and Andalusian coastline. Surrounded by a stone pine forest and a Mediterranean climate with Atlantic waters. In the summer months it is the ideal option for a refreshing swim and enjoying its beach bars facing the sea, and being able to see the impressive sunsets.
